Penkridge Farm

Penkridge Farm nestles between the spectacular Pisa Range and Lake Dunstan. The 45 acre block is split between a boutique vineyard, a growing flock of miniature Southdown sheep, a truffière and a small olive grove. The 10 acre vineyard was planted from 2001 to 2003 and produces pinot noir and pinot gris, with young chardonnay vines that will be glass-ready in 2026.

What we love about
Central Otago

Central Otago…it’s the feeling of being home. It’s hot summer days swimming in the irrigation dam. Summer mornings at the farmers market. Delicious stone fruit. Amazing running tracks in the stunning rocky hills (well, it's slow jogging really...). Crisp winter days. Pinot noir! So much history, incredible scenery and the wonderful people that make this region a very special place.

About Us

Justine and PJ Davis feel privileged to own this land, along with their two boys Jack and Harris who are the 6th generation with ties to this region. The family goes back to the early pioneering days of Wanaka, with the family including hoteliers, shopkeepers, farmers and now winegrowers.

The farm shares a boundary with Mahaka Katia, a Department of Conservation reserve. The Reserve is one of the best remaining examples of native saline vegetation on the Upper Clutha terraces and is home to several rare plant species. Neighbouring this important natural area emphasizes the need to farm responsibly and with minimal impact on our environment.
